ALOM Systems Simplify the Management of Complex Orders
Orders are received by ALOM from many different sources that all flow into our Mastershipper database. This proprietary internal system, developed by ALOM, tracks order source, characteristics, requested ship-date/time, authorization, allocation levels, and a multitude of other business rules and specifics required by customers.
Tying the supply chain together, we are globally connected to locations, vendors, carriers, clients, retailers, shopping carts, and other third-party vendors with advanced connectivity tools. We maintain a single code base for our internal and external core API use. This provides the ability to continually develop new functionality and features, not only for ourselves but also for our partners. Using standard interoperable technologies such as XML or SOAP Web Services, ALOM provides platform-independent connectivity. We also provide legacy support such as flat file interchange, direct EDI or VAN EDI.
ALOM clients have access to a powerful and customizable online order management system to enter and review orders. Order entry and status review can be customized for each client with their own business rules such as restricted ship-methods, different cut-off times, quantities that certain groups are allowed to order, authorization levels, placing orders on hold for administrator authorization and a number of other restrictions. Order management portals can be standard portals or they can be custom skinned and branded for use by stores, retail locations, internal staff, partners, or external resources. Orders are compiled in ALOM’s advanced Mastershipper database and then routed using our custom routing scheduler to the applicable location for optimized delivery schedule and minimization of freight cost.
OnePrintPortal™ allows clients to manage all print-related matters using one advanced tool; including asset creation, vendor management, customization, brand management, and delivery.
COMPASS™ provides clients with a unified view of their global businesses with a customizable, real-time dashboard to view activities of their account. COMPASS allows ALOM’s customers to manage their supply chain online with visibility to activities around the globe. Settings can be customized by user type to allow full global view or just a limited view of order status for the user’s specific orders.
