Quality Suppliers Deliver ALOM Value
Each supplier plays a crucial role in the ALOM supply chain, and each is valued as the subject-matter expert in their realm and is expected to be able to be benchmark to world-class standards. Our suppliers know the rules, adhere to regulations and specifications, and exceed expectations for integrity, responsiveness, and timeliness. ALOM expects best practices in sustainability, such as meeting and exceeding regulatory standards for products, production methodology, source reduction, and waste disposal. We also expect confidentiality, strict adherence to international and local labor standards as well as a high level of social responsibility.
ALOM sources and manages suppliers globally, and evaluates supplier performance and shares results. Each supplier must go through a qualification process before being considered to receive ALOM “Approved Vendor” status and gets re-evaluated at least annually.
We expect our suppliers to manage their downstream supply chain with the same diligence.
We expect suppliers to be aligned with ALOM’s unwavering commitment to quality, on-time delivery, and flawless execution. Suppliers must demonstrate that they have an effective training program in place to train operators and other staff fully and to the highest workmanship standards. Our suppliers are proactive and committed to preventive measures and continuous improvement. Most of our suppliers are ISO 9000 certified, some are also ISO 13485 certified or TL9000 certified in addition to their other certifications.
ALOM consistently reaches one of the highest diversity spend quotas possible by embracing, supporting, and practicing diversity in the workplace and among our suppliers. As a certified WBE (Women-owned Business Enterprise), our diversity supplier program actively solicits and tracks diverse suppliers and achieves a world-class level of diverse supplier participation.
We encourage diverse suppliers (MBE, WBE, DVBE, LGBTBE) to become our partners as approved suppliers and to increase their business with ALOM. Please register with a nationally recognized certification body prior to submitting any diversity registration to ALOM.
Our Vendor Portal, VMS (Vendor Management System) allows for easy communications regarding quality metrics and other related KPIs, business awards, and trend analysis. This is also where the ALOM Vendor approval process starts.
