Receiving Policy

Our delivery address is 48105 Warm Springs Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539. Our receiving hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. Receiving of shipment at other times may be arranged with prior appointment (call 510-360-3600). You can get on-line directions or call 510-360-3600 to get directions faxed.

Labeling
Each carton should be clearly marked with:
  • Part number
  • Description
  • Quantity per box
  • Our Purchase Order number (ALOM purchased parts only)
Only one pallet with mixed items is allowed. This pallet must be clearly marked "Mixed Items".

Partial boxes or partial pallets must be clearly marked "Partial".

Packing slip
Packing slip must be clearly legible and contain
  • Part number
  • Description
  • Quantity per box
  • Quantity of entire load delivered and of entire shipment
  • PO reference, including name of company that has purchased the materials
Our signature on the packing slip only indicates that we received the number of pallets and/or cartons indicated. We reserve the right to further inspection and counts. Damaged boxes will be received as damaged.

Palletizing
Shipments of more than 6 cartons must be palletized on standard 40 x 48 pallets with only one part number per pallet. Our charge to repalletize any shipment not conforming to our receiving policy is $45.00/hour. This will either be deducted when paying the vendor (ALOM's vendors) or charged to the customer (consigned materials). Pallets can only be stacked 56 inches (142 cm) high.

Refusal of shipment
We reserve the right to refuse any shipment which does not conform to our receiving policy or to charge materials and labor (@$45.00/hour) to bring the shipment into compliance. All shipments shipped freight collect will be refused.
